La Vierge wines shine yet again, this time at the IWSC in London!
The International Wine & Spirit Competition’s expert judges, along with our award winning operations team have been hard at work sipping, swirling, sniffing and scoring and the final results for South Africa & South America are now available.
This year La Vierge entered three wines and have claimed 3 awards! The wines we chose to enter this year was our Anthelia 2014 (Silver Outstanding), our Nymphomane 2014 (Silver) and our Original Sin Sauvignon Blanc 2016 (Silver).
Competition this year was tough with so many great wines coming from South Africa. South African Wine Farms were awarded an astounding 30 Gold medals, and 9 Gold Outstanding. Unusually, of all awarded wines, 24% were Silver Outstanding, 53% Silver and only 18% Bronze. Usually the larger proportion are awarded Bronze medals, highlighting how high the standards are for this set of South African wines.
We are really proud of our wines and how well they did this year at the ISWC. We promise to keep delivering award winning wines and strive for an even better year at the ISWC next year.
