It’s hard to believe the middle of 2021 is slowly sliding into view. How is it that we have barely blinked and another year is almost halfway gone?

There are many beautiful days ahead, perfect for a memorable wedding day. Why not stop by on Saturday and check out our venue as a possible backdrop for your “I do’s”?

Read on for an update about our harvest season… It was a tough one, but we prevailed! Extra special wines are on their way to you. You’ll just have to wait a little while longer.

But, while you wait, enjoy the wonderful wines on the shelf right now.  We recommend trying a bottle (or three) of La Vierge Noir 2016, our flagship Pinot Noir. Scroll down for a proper introduction to this beautiful wine.

Great wine wishes –

The weather cannot get us down!

The 2021 harvest sure hasn’t been a boring one. We’ve had a bunch of challenges to deal with, but ultimately our team of superheroes pulled out all the stops to make sure another fantastic vintage is on its way to you. The season generally started later than it normally does which caused a slight bottleneck with many cultivars ripening simultaneously. The weather played all sorts of other tricks on us too – really wet weather later in the season meant that we had to move extra fast to get the grapes into the cellar before any rot could set in. And, if all of that wasn’t enough, some pesky birds stopped by for a snack. But hey… Nothing good comes easily, right? We’re of the opinion that all of these hurdles signify an incredible selection of wines in our future. Keep an eye out for awards season next year!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every member of the team that worked on this harvest. We truly could not have done it without your hard work and dedication.

We’ve got the treats

If you haven’t heard, let us be the first to tell you that our incredibly popular Chocolate, Nougat and Wine pairing is back. So if you haven’t tried it yet, what on earth are you waiting for? Stop by for a visit – and bring along your friends – because these treats are to die for. And, honestly, paired with our gorgeous wines… An experience that is guaranteed to make you smile.

Feeling fancy?  Then you definitely have to try our Crusted Deep Fried Brie, served with a perfectly chilled bottle of Redemption Chardonnay. Can you think of a better way to spend an afternoon than looking out over the valley while munching on gooey melted cheese?

Our Tasting Room is open Monday – Sunday, 10:00 to 18:00.

The Black Virgin herself

This wine is all poise and elegance. Probably not surprising considering its cool climate origins (the vines are only 10km from the Atlantic Ocean).  But instead of being standoff-ish and cold, it has an authentic earthiness and bright fruity character that makes you fall in love with it instantly.

This wine is absolutely perfect for the colder winter months lying ahead. It pairs incredibly well with mushroom risotto, roast game, cream-based pasta and hard cheese platters. All of the yummy comfort foods you will be indulging in while snuggling up inside. And the best of all… This wine is an investment future-you will thank you for. It ages really well and can be kept for up to 5 years if stored correctly.
