Our doors are open – and so are our wines
La Vierge is all you could want from a wine farm – views, vino and vivacious dishes. And we want to share all of it with you.
The farm is located on an s-bend in the valley, a perfect vantage point from which to enjoy the landscape while sipping on our award-winning wines or enjoying a dish from our unique menu.
The winery was originally built in 1997 by the Johnson family. However, we knew that we needed to upgrade its appearance to better fit our personality when we took it over. In 2007 the renovations were completed and with them came the architecturally exciting winery you see today – a tasting room, restaurant, balcony and bowls, a double volume winery and a sunken barrel maturation room.
How our wine is made
Our wine cellar at your feet… literally.
Our wine cellar is one of the first things you see as you enter the building – as it forms part of the entrance. This gives you, our guests, a unique and memorable impression of the production side of La Vierge.
Looking down into the cellar from the walkway, one gets a better idea of the sheer size of the equipment used to create our signature wines. For those who would like to take a closer look, we offer wine cellar tours that take you through the entire process and the cellar. Talk about a full bodied experience (wine pun intended).
