Summer Sunset Sessions
There’s nothing quite like summer in the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge. As the valley glows in golden light and the evenings stretch out beautifully, our deck becomes the perfect place to unwind, sip, savour and celebrate the season.
Introducing Summer Sunset Sessions — a series of relaxed, music-filled evenings designed for long summer nights with friends, family, and exceptional wine.
Join us from 16 December to 9 January (closed on Christmas Day & New Year’s Eve) for:
- Live music from local artists
- Uninterrupted valley views as the sun sets behind the ridge
- A special Summer Sunset Menu created exclusively for these evenings
- A full beverage menu to enjoy throughout the night
Sessions run from 6:00pm to 9:30pm, with our deck transforming into the ultimate golden-hour destination.
Whether you’re ending a day of exploring Hermanus, celebrating the holidays, or simply craving a beautiful summer evening with good company and great wine, our Summer Sunset Sessions offer an experience you’ll return to again and again.

Catering & Bar Services
All catering is handled by our in-house culinary team, ensuring consistency, quality, and a taste of Hemel-en-Aarde with every bite. No external caterers are permitted.
Our chef has curated a special menu suitable for any event. A specialized consultation with chef Rachel is available on request if the menu provided does not fit your preferences and budget. Menu tastings available at R1 200 per couple.
Bar services are exclusively managed by La Vierge. A full beverage list is available on request. Outside alcohol is not permitted. See our full bar policy for more.
