2023 Chardonnay

Fresh mineral expression of Chardonnay. Subtle creamy layers to add depth to the palate.

2023 Chardonnay production was in line with the long-term average. The season had an average rainfall of 788mm. With 43% (341mm) falling throughout the wet growing season. The wet growing season brought with it some challenges and a two-week heat wave speeded up the ripening process in January. All in all, it produced wines with broader shoulders and slightly more expressive aromatics.
