Join us on Sunday, 21 June at La Vierge Restaurant and Tasting Room for a leisurely Father’s Day afternoon. Good wine, food made for sharing and the most spectacular panoramic view of the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley in Hermanus.

“The foundation of La Vierge is the Clarke family,” says Executive Chef Rachel van Zyl. “They love each other deeply and they all work together. We wanted to represent those family bonds in the restaurant’s dining experience.”

This feeling carries naturally through the way people spend time at La Vierge. Some families settle in over a long lunch at the restaurant. Others gather in the Tasting Room for a relaxed wine tasting, working their way through a few favourites from our Estate Range or Story Teller Collection while deciding who’s taking home a bottle or two afterwards.

While Father’s Day may be the occasion, La Vierge has never really been about formal celebrations or overcomplicated dining. The focus has always been on good wine and honest food enjoyed with those who matter most. A memorable outing with Dad feels like the perfect reason to explore our new winter menu. Chef Rachel spent months building a menu around seasonal ingredients, slow-cooked dishes, generous mains and desserts designed to be shared our wines.

Wine has always led the experience at La Vierge. From the vineyard through to the restaurant, tasting room and farm experiences, everything is approached with the same sense of care and simplicity.
